Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Flooring Specialist to join our team at The Excel Group, Inc. The ideal candidate will have experience in installing resilient flooring and have a strong understanding of flooring plans and scheduling.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and measure surfaces to be covered
  • Prepare flooring plans and scheduling
  • Measure, cut, and install resilient floor coverings
  • Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings
  • Conduct moisture, pH, temperature, and other tests prior to flooring installations
  • Prepare floors for installations
  • Remove existing floor coverings and contaminants
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications
  • Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience
  • Commercial, industrial, institutional, residential, and urban area work settings
  • Ability to distinguish between colors
  • Client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, judgment, organized, and team player
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with a variety of flooring materials and will be required to work at heights and in confined spaces.
