Floor Covering Specialist

The Excel Group, Inc. is seeking a skilled Floor Covering Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all flooring installations meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and measure surfaces to be covered
  • Prepare flooring plans and scheduling
  • Measure, cut, and install resilient floor coverings
  • Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings
  • Conduct moisture, pH, temperature, and other tests prior to flooring installations
  • Prepare floors for installations
  • Remove existing floor coverings and contaminants
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications
  • Prepare, measure, and mark surfaces to be covered
  • Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to lift heavy loads and work at heights
