Position Overview: Part-time role as a Child Care Supply Assistant for various Child Care programs.

The Role: Contribute to the development of strong, healthy communities by creating nurturing environments for children.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing personal care for children, including toileting, administering first aid, and managing dietary needs and allergies.
  • Engaging actively with children while ensuring their safety and supervision in groups of up to 15.
  • Planning and executing play-based learning activities in line with established curriculum standards.
  • Maintaining open and professional communication with families, staff, and volunteers.
  • Creating an inclusive atmosphere that supports all children's needs, including those with exceptional behaviors.
  • Upholding the organization’s Mission, Vision, and Values through appropriate conduct.
  • Adhering to work schedules to maintain program ratios and notifying supervisors of any scheduling changes.
  • Demonstrating adaptability in routines and schedules.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Current Standard First Aid and CPR (Level C) certification or willingness to obtain within the first 90 days.
  • Completion of a Vulnerable Sector Check.
  • Up-to-date immunizations in accordance with local health regulations.
  • Availability for a minimum of two full days per week or specific morning and afternoon shifts.
  • A genuine passion for working with children and facilitating quality play-based learning experiences.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with families and colleagues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Physical capability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 20 kg (44 lbs.), and engage in active play.
  • Willingness to work outdoors for at least two hours daily, regardless of weather conditions.
