Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, adhering to established recipes and presentation standards.
  • Food Safety and Quality: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, and maintain high standards of food quality and presentation.
  • Team Leadership: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, and supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure efficient and effective kitchen operations.
  • Inventory and Supplies: Order supplies and equipment, and maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
  • Cleanliness and Organization: Clean kitchen and work areas, and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a kitchen environment, or equivalent experience.
Work Setting

This role is based in a restaurant environment, with a focus on providing high-quality food and excellent customer service.

Language and Hours

The working language is English, and the working hours are 35 to 40 hours per week.
