Job Title: Construction Supervisor

Join Agnico Eagle's Projects Department as a Construction Supervisor, reporting to the Projects Superintendent. This role is ideal for individuals with a passion for construction management and a commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage project contractors by monitoring and controlling performance, ensuring timely completion and quality delivery.
  • Contribute to strategic plans and constructability reviews, implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards.
  • Meet project budgets and timelines by monitoring project expenditures, identifying variances, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Accomplish construction project results by contributing to project scope definition, estimating, enforcing standards and protocols, allocating resources, scheduling and coordinating contractor works, evaluating milestone assumptions and conclusions, resolving design problems, and evaluating and implementing change orders.
  • Prevent orders and interruptions by complying with and enforcing various regulations and codes.
  • Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures.
  • Enhance organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary education in Mechanical engineering technology preferred; considerable experience in related field will be considered.
  • 5+ years' experience in managing the execution of small to medium size projects.
  • Knowledge of basic project management techniques (i.e. progress measurement and earned value technique) and experience in estimation, cost monitoring, analyzing and reporting.
  • A Millwright, Ironworker, or Carpentry trades background will be an asset.
  • Ability to establish priorities and work under pressure to meet project deadlines.
  • People management skills and experience managing Contractor personnel is an asset.
  • Working knowledge of regular financial and procurement processes, preferably in construction or engineering projects is an asset.
  • Knowledge of Ontario OH&S Act & Regulations is considered an asset.
  • Experience working at a remote work site is considered an asset.
  • Experience working in SAP or similar Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
