About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Painter and Decorator to join our team at NC Painting. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing, cleaning, and painting surfaces to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities
  • Surface Preparation: Clean and sand surfaces to ensure a smooth finish.
  • Painting and Decorating: Apply paint, wallpaper, and other materials to interior and exterior surfaces.
  • Repair and Maintenance: Repair cracks and holes in surfaces and ensure they are ready for painting.
  • Customer Service: Advise customers on colours and choice of wall coverings.
Work Environment

As a Painter and Decorator, you will work outdoors and at heights, and may be exposed to odours. You will work at various locations, including on-site customer service.

Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in painting and decorating.
  • Equipment and Machinery: Experience with brush painting, conventional spray painting, and roller painting.
  • Surface Preparation: Experience with drywall taping and patching.
  • Physical Capabilities: Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and work in physically demanding environments.

  • Attention to Detail: Ability to work accurately and pay attention to detail.
  • Hand-Eye Coordination: Ability to use hands and eyes to perform tasks.
  • Colour Recognition: Ability to distinguish between colours.
  • Team Player: Ability to work as part of a team.
