Military Air Systems Export Compliance Specialist

An opportunity has arisen for a Military Air Systems Export Compliance Specialist within Airbus Defence & Space.
This role involves being part of the Export Control France organization, where you will report to the Head Office of Export Control France and the Air Power Export Control coordinator. The focus will be on compliance for Airbus Defence and Space SAS legal entities.
Your primary responsibility will be to oversee Export Control for Air Power A400M initiatives, programs, and contracts associated with Airbus Defence and Space SAS.
You will collaborate with an Export Control team, providing support across all Services and Programs within Air Power France.
As the Export Control Officer, you will ensure adherence to Export Control regulations and compliance with French controlled domain laws, addressing both National and International regulations concerning controlled activities, including management of licenses and legal reporting.
Your role will involve representing the Export Control organization in interactions with internal Airbus business units and relevant authorities, ensuring the company meets its legal obligations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organize and manage operational activities within the Export Control France organization, aligning objectives with the Head Office and supporting various business units.
- Serve as a liaison with the Export Control Center of Service dedicated to Air Power in France, addressing the needs of Services and Operations.
- Maintain effective relationships and information exchange with stakeholders to enhance operational efficiency and ensure compliance within a stringent regulatory environment.
- Support business programs by ensuring compliance with export regulations, conducting risk assessments, and promoting regulatory best practices.
- Advise on Export compliance during new business initiatives, from negotiation through to operational execution.
- Collaborate with counterparts in Germany, Spain, and the UK on common activities in France.
- Provide regular updates to the Air Power Export Control coordinator and escalate critical compliance issues as necessary.
- Contribute to the successful execution of remediation activities within the ACE Program, facilitating collaboration across multi-functional teams.
- Utilize and maintain Export Control Information Systems, proposing strategies that align with the needs of Air Power France.
Specific Requirements:
- Legal company officer designation, assuming responsibility for actions and decisions made in this role.
- French nationality is required, along with eligibility for security clearance.
- Willingness to work at military facilities and comply with their operational protocols.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the development of the LOET/LOETF team across various Airbus sites.
- Support the establishment of strategic objectives and roadmaps in collaboration with key stakeholders.
- Manage Risks & Opportunities, implementing industrial standards and solutions where applicable.
- Ensure quality, cost, and schedule are effectively managed within your areas of responsibility while adhering to compliance regulations.

Your Profile:
- Expertise in Export Control, French regulations, and Data Compliance.
- Strong motivation and knowledge in military aviation and support services.
- Able to work effectively in a multicultural and multifunctional team environment.
- Capable of managing complex situations with composure.
- Familiarity with Information Technologies, particularly SAP and digital environments, is advantageous.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and negotiation skills, with a proactive approach.
- High level of initiative, integrity, and confidentiality.
- Willingness to travel as required.
- Proficient in English at a negotiation level.
