Military Air Systems Export Compliance Specialist

An opportunity for a Export Control Officer (m/f) has emerged within Airbus Defence & Space.
You will be part of the Export Control France team, engaging in activities that fall under the French jurisdiction, while reporting to the Head Office of Export Control France and the Air Power Export Control coordinator. This team is responsible for the legal entities associated with Airbus Defence and Space SAS.
Your primary responsibility will be to oversee Export Control functions related to the Air Power A400M initiatives, programs, and contracts involving Airbus Defence and Space SAS.
As a member of the Export Control team, you will provide support across all Services and Programs within the Air Power sector in France.
Your role will involve ensuring compliance with Export Control regulations and French controlled domain laws concerning Air Power activities, which includes managing licenses and authorizations, preparing legal reports, and conducting monitoring activities.
You will represent the Export Control organization in interactions with internal Airbus stakeholders and external authorities (e.g., Ministry of Defence, Customs), ensuring the company adheres to applicable laws and regulations within your area of responsibility.
Your Responsibilities Include:
- Organizing and overseeing operational activities of the Export Control France organization within your designated responsibilities, structuring activities, establishing processes, and defining objectives in alignment with the Head Office of Export Control France and the various Business units you will support.
- Collaborating with the Export Control Center of Service dedicated to Air Power in France to meet the needs of Services and Operations.
- Acting as a formal point of contact for different Business organizations, ensuring effective communication and information exchange with stakeholders to promote efficiency and competitiveness while securing Air Power Services Operations within a stringent regulatory framework.
- Supporting Business programs and activities, ensuring compliance with Go-Export/Go-Import regulations, conducting risk assessments, and promoting operational improvements through better Business regulation adoption, including training and educational initiatives.
- Advising the Business on Export compliance and supporting new Business deployments from negotiation to operational phases.
- Coordinating common activities in France, ensuring alignment with counterparts in Germany, Spain, and the UK.
- Presenting regular updates to the Air Power Export Control coordinator and the Head Office of Export Control France, escalating critical compliance issues as necessary and implementing corrective actions.
- Contributing to the successful execution of ACE Program remediation activities, facilitating collaboration within multi-functional teams (Export Control, Operations, Engineering, DTO/IM, etc.).
- Maintaining and updating Information Systems related to Export Control, proposing strategies and policies that align with the needs of Air Power France.
Specific Requirements:
- You will be recognized as a legal company officer, assuming responsibility for the legal entity in your actions and decisions.
- This position necessitates French nationality and a security clearance or eligibility for clearance by the relevant authorities.
- You will operate at a military facility and may need to comply with their internal regulations.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Facilitating daily operations by contributing to the development of the LOET/LOETF team across various Airbus sites.
- Supporting the establishment of AD strategy, leading deployment efforts, and collaborating with key stakeholders.
- Managing Risks & Opportunities, establishing industrial standards and solutions as appropriate.
- Ensuring that quality, cost, and schedule are effectively managed within your areas of responsibility while adhering to compliance regulations.
This role requires a commitment to integrity and an awareness of potential compliance risks, which are essential for the company's success and reputation.
Your Profile:
- Proficient knowledge of Export Control, French regulations, and Data Compliance.
- Strong motivation and expertise in military aeronautics and In-Service Support.
- Able to work within a multifunctional and multicultural team embedded in Services Operations.
- Capable of managing complex or high-pressure situations.
- Familiarity with Information Technologies (IT), particularly SAP and digital environments, is advantageous.
- Well-organized with excellent communication and negotiation skills, demonstrating autonomy and proactivity.
- High initiative, credibility, integrity, confidentiality, and trustworthiness.
- Willingness to travel as required.
- Fluent in English at a negotiation level.
