An opportunity for a Export Compliance Officer (m/f) has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space.
You will be part of the Export Control France organization, focusing on compliance activities within the French jurisdiction, reporting to the Head Office of Export Control France and the Air Power Export Control coordinator. This role encompasses oversight of Airbus Defence and Space SAS legal entities.
Your primary responsibility will be to ensure compliance as the Export Control Officer for Air Power A400M activities, programs, and contracts associated with Airbus Defence and Space SAS.
As a member of the Export Control team, you will support all Services and Programs operations for Air Power in France.
You will be accountable for ensuring adherence to Export Control regulations and compliance within the French controlled domain for Air Power activities, addressing both National and International regulatory requirements concerning controlled activities, including management of licenses and legal reporting.
Your role will involve representing the Export Control organization in interactions with internal Airbus Business units and relevant Authorities, ensuring the company’s compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Your Responsibilities:
- Organize and oversee operational activities within the Export Control France organization, aligning processes and objectives with the Head Office of Export Control France and various Business units.
- Collaborate with the Export Control Center of Service dedicated to Air Power in France to meet operational needs.
- Act as a formal point of contact with different Business organizations, ensuring effective communication and fostering relationships with stakeholders to enhance operational efficiency within a stringent regulatory framework.
- Support Business programs and activities, ensuring compliance with export regulations, risk assessments, and promoting operational improvements through effective regulation adoption and training initiatives.
- Advise on Export compliance matters and assist in the deployment of new Business initiatives from negotiation through to operational execution.
- Coordinate common activities in France, ensuring alignment with counterparts in Germany, Spain, and the UK.
- Present regular updates to the Air Power Export Control coordinator and escalate critical compliance issues as necessary.
- Contribute to the successful execution of remediation activities within the ACE Program, facilitating cross-functional teamwork.
- Maintain and enhance Information Systems related to Export Control, proposing strategies that align with the needs of Air Power France.
Specific Requirements:
- You will be designated as a legal company officer, assuming responsibility for the legal entity in your actions and decisions.
- This position necessitates French nationality and a security clearance or eligibility for clearance by recognized authorities.
- You will operate from a military base and may be required to travel to various governmental premises, adhering to their internal regulations.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Facilitate daily operations by contributing to the development of the LOET/LOETF team across various Airbus sites.
- Support the establishment of Airbus strategy, leading deployment and roadmaps with key stakeholders.
- Manage Risks & Opportunities, establishing industry standards and solutions where applicable.
- Ensure quality, cost, and schedule are effectively managed within your areas of responsibility while adhering to compliance standards.

Your Profile:
- Expertise in Export Control, French regulations, and Data Compliance.
- Strong motivation and knowledge in military aeronautics and In-Service Support.
- Ability to work in a multifunctional and multicultural team environment.
- Capability to manage complex or high-pressure situations.
- Familiarity with Information Technologies (IT), particularly SAP and digital environments is advantageous.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and negotiation skills, with a proactive approach.
- High level of initiative, integrity, confidentiality, and trustworthiness.
- Willingness to travel as required.
- Proficient in English at a negotiation level.
