We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Senior Network Security Engineer with a strong background in SecOps. The ideal candidate will possess over 5 years of practical experience in the design, deployment, operation, management, and troubleshooting of Palo Alto (PAN) firewalls, along with expertise in implementing firewall rules through orchestration tools like AlgoSec. This position is essential for upholding enterprise Cyber policies and controls within our network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure, install, and maintain Palo Alto firewalls, ensuring regular updates and patches are applied to leverage the latest security features.
  • Monitor firewall health and performance, addressing issues proactively and optimizing configurations for enhanced efficiency.
  • Conduct regular audits of firewall settings and policies to ensure adherence to security standards and best practices.
  • Utilize AlgoSec for automating firewall rule modifications, ensuring consistency and minimizing manual interventions.
  • Collaborate with the cybersecurity team to address security incidents and vulnerabilities, focusing on potential threats traversing the firewall.
  • Provide 24/7 monitoring and support for firewall operations, ensuring rapid response to security incidents.
  • Lead initiatives in threat detection and incident response, employing advanced cybersecurity tools and methodologies.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive incident response strategies and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards through meticulous record-keeping and reporting.
  • Regularly assess and enhance firewall configurations against industry best practices to improve security posture.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with Palo Alto firewalls.
  • At least 5 years of experience in managing and automating firewalls using AlgoSec.
  • 2 years of experience managing network infrastructure in cloud environments such as Azure or GCP.
  • Strong grasp of network security principles and best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Relevant certifications such as Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE), AlgoSec Certified Security Expert (ACSE), and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) are preferred.
