ISS ESG is on the lookout for an experienced Lead ESG Methodology Advisor to become a vital member of our Global ESG Methodology & Quality Team. This position encompasses all areas of ESG research and solutions, ensuring that our methodologies remain consistent, innovative, and of the highest quality.
As part of the Regulatory Solutions & Fixed Income division, you will significantly contribute to the enhancement of our leading Regulatory and Fixed Income Solutions, which include the EU Taxonomy Alignment Solution and Sustainable Debt Solutions. This engaging role provides the chance to be part of one of our most forward-thinking product lines while collaborating with a diverse array of internal and external experts.
Operating from our Toronto office, you will have the opportunity to work both autonomously and alongside global teams from various locations. We prioritize collaboration and foster a friendly, inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities
Refine and innovate methodologies for ISS ESG's Regulatory and Fixed Income Solutions. Interpret global ESG regulations into actionable research and products that meet our clients' increasing demand for regulation-compliant data. Offer methodological support to research analysts, ensuring that outputs are of the highest quality and aligned with client expectations. Act as a central resource for our methodologies, providing assistance to both internal and external stakeholders. Contribute to Thought Leadership and other materials that highlight our ESG capabilities in relation to global regulatory initiatives and Fixed Income.Required Qualifications
3-7 years of experience in ESG research, sustainable finance, fixed income, or ESG consulting. A degree in a relevant discipline (finance, sustainability, etc.). Familiarity with ESG and/or financial data. Knowledge of sustainable debt instruments, sustainable finance regulations, or fixed income investing is advantageous. Strong communication skills in English; proficiency in German or French is a plus. Exceptional analytical abilities, attention to detail, and conceptual thinking. A collaborative mindset that aligns with ISS ESG's mission, vision, and values.
