Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Office Assistant/Receptionist to join our team at Fraser Health Authority. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide administrative support to our medical staff and patients, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients and staff, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Manage front desk operations, including registering new patients, booking appointments, and handling phone calls and correspondence.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical histories and test results.
  • Process medical billing and insurance claims, ensuring timely and accurate submission.
  • Order and maintain medical supplies and equipment, ensuring a well-stocked and organized office environment.
  • Perform various administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, and photocopying.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
Requirements
  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of a Medical Office Assistant certificate program.
  • 1 year of recent experience in a medical office setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and medical software applications.
