Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the acquisition of experienced advisors in the region and meet predefined targets for growth of the Region's AUA through the development and execution of strategic recruitment priorities, business plans, and objectives.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive recruitment strategy to attract and retain top talent in the region.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including Regional Directors, Branch Managers, and Wealth Management partners, to support the identification and recruitment of experienced advisors.
- Develop and leverage key external resources, including Centres of Influence (COI) networks, to support external business referrals and community engagement.
- Ensure compliance with Scotiabank's risk appetite and risk culture in day-to-day activities and decisions.
- Champion a high-performance environment and contribute to an inclusive work environment.
Requirements:
- University degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
- Expert knowledge of the wealth management advisory industry and factors that influence it.
- Exceptional wealth advisory business development and leadership skills, with a proven track record of performance excellence meeting targets and objectives.
- Well-developed network of relationships with senior internal and external stakeholders, Centres of Influence, and business alliances.
- Strong knowledge of the regulatory environment applicable to the investment management industry.
