Job Title: Vice President Business Development

We are seeking an experienced Vice President of Business Development to join our team at Stonewood Group Inc. in Toronto. As a key member of our senior executive team, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth and business expansion in existing and emerging markets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement business development strategies to drive revenue growth and expansion in existing and emerging markets.
  • Lead a small yet highly dynamic business development team to achieve revenue and margin goals.
  • Collaborate with the CEO to refine the company's roadmap and identify growth opportunities.
  • Develop and execute marketing strategies to enter new geographic markets and product/service offerings.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the lead generation and marketing organizations to ensure alignment with sales organization needs.
  • Build and maintain high-level relationships with key accounts and partners, including developing account development plans.
  • Work closely with customers in emerging markets to provide feedback to the CEO on market viability and make recommendations on investments required.
  • Provide regular feedback to the CEO on pipeline, sales, and business development activities.
  • Collaborate with engineering to ensure the technology roadmap aligns with market requirements.
  • Spearhead and nurture relationships with channel partners to enhance their effectiveness.
Key Performance Indicators:
  • Revenue and margin to budget - monthly and annual.
  • Quality and robustness of market plans.
  • Quality and performance of business development team members.
  • Year-over-year growth.
  • Business line extensions/new business development.

Preferred Experience/Education:
  • New market analysis and development experience.
  • Proven track record selling large, global accounts.
  • Marketing function experience, including planning and strategy development.
  • Sales team management/leadership experience.
  • Business degree (MBA with technical undergrad ideal).
