Job Summary

As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will be responsible for technical functions, including filling prescriptions and administering medications under the direct supervision of a pharmacist. You will work in a fast-paced environment, providing excellent patient care and communicating effectively with colleagues and patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform operational duties, such as inputting prescriptions, verifying patient information, and assisting pharmacists with documentation.
  • Maintain customer service expectations, knowing when to involve pharmacists.
  • Manage stock inventory and perform other duties as assigned to support CareRx.
Requirements
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills.
  • Superb customer service skills are essential.
  • Weekend and statutory holiday rotations are required.
  • Professional phone etiquette.
  • Fast and accurate data entry skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in a related program.
  • Knowledge of Kroll system.
  • Long-term care or hospital experience.
