Qualifications

  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years in mechanical engineering or related areas.
Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Assigning engineering tasks to team members and technical staff.
  • Consulting with clients to assess project requirements.
  • Coordinating project activities to ensure adherence to timelines and budgets.
  • Overseeing daily operations and directing workflow.
  • Planning and managing project budgets and expenditures.
  • Providing clients with comprehensive insights on project design and analysis.
  • Reviewing engineering projects for approval and recommending necessary modifications.
  • Establishing and enforcing policies and procedures for engineering tasks.
  • Authorizing the creation of product or service specifications.
  • Evaluating technical designs and engineering outputs.
  • Supervising data analysis and report preparation.
  • Advising senior management on engineering matters.
  • Managing contracts and developing risk management strategies.
  • Leading and instructing project teams.
  • Maintaining a digital database for project documentation.
Supervisory Role

This position involves overseeing:

  • Working groups and committees.
Required Certifications

Candidates must hold:

  • Provincial and Territorial professional engineer registration.
Technical Proficiency

Familiarity with the following software and tools is essential:

  • AutoCAD
  • MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • MS Project
  • Primavera
  • Autodesk REVIT
  • ERP software
  • Computer programming knowledge
Work Environment

This role is situated in an urban setting and may require travel. The company covers travel expenses.
