In alignment with the organization's established vision and values, the Respiratory Therapist adheres to the professional standards set forth by the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists (CSRT) while providing client and family-centered care. The role involves delivering ongoing respiratory support in a collaborative setting to patients with various respiratory conditions, including both acute and chronic cardio-respiratory issues. You will work autonomously and as part of an interdisciplinary team to improve the quality of life for clients and their families. Collaboration with other healthcare professionals is essential, and you will be expected to engage in continuous improvement and best practices in respiratory care. Additionally, you will maintain and enhance your clinical skills and participate in committees, teams, and approved research initiatives as assigned.

Work Schedule: Rotating shifts including Days and Nights - 07:00 to 19:00, 19:00 to 07:00.

About the Healthcare Facility

This healthcare facility is equipped with 44 Acute Care beds and 124 residential beds, managing approximately 22,000 emergency visits annually. Key features include:

  • An endoscopy suite and two advanced operating rooms, along with a procedure room.
  • Ambulatory clinics, including specialized services for Cancer and Hemodialysis.
  • Medical and Surgical inpatient accommodations (40 beds).
  • Three Intensive Care Units.
  • Facilities for minor surgical procedures.
  • Seven private Maternity rooms for Labour, Delivery, and Post-Partum care.
