We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Northern Health Authority. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.
About the Role:- Provide respiratory care to patients with a variety of illnesses and diseases, including acute and chronic cardio-respiratory conditions.
- Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Conduct ongoing assessments and evaluations to ensure the best possible patient outcomes.
- Participate in education and training programs to maintain and advance your clinical competence.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to respiratory care.

- Current certification with the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists (CSRT) and eligibility for registration.
- Current valid BC Driver's License as required in the specific practice area.
- Assessment and treatment: Demonstrated ability to complete initial and ongoing client assessments through appropriate technical, therapeutic, and safety interventions.
- Teaching: Ability to teach clients and others both one-on-one and in groups.
- Knowledge integration: Integrates best practice and current research evidence to support professional practice decisions and actions.
- Communication: Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, the public, medical staff, and members of the interdisciplinary team.
- Critical thinking: Demonstrated ability to integrate and evaluate pertinent data to problem-solve and make decisions effectively.
- Human caring and relationship-centered practice: Ability to promote client-focused care that demonstrates care for and with clients and significant others.
- Management: Demonstrated ability to organize work, set objectives, and establish priorities.
