Job Summary

The Weekend Maintenance Supervisor is a key member of the Paper Excellence team, responsible for ensuring the safe and effective performance of maintenance activities on the weekend shift.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day motivation and supervision of maintenance crew members, promoting a culture of safety and efficiency.
  • Initiate activities to enhance crew performance, utilizing good management skills to assess and address any stability issues.
  • Take a secondary role in planning and scheduling work for the crew, providing recommendations to the planner on job sequencing and details.
  • Acquire materials for emergency jobs and determine the craft/skill/crew required for each task.
  • Identify and address failures or repetitive breakdowns, working with the crew to develop solutions and provide feedback to the planner.

Requirements

  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and supervise a team.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively with the planner and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze and address stability issues, and to develop solutions to complex problems.
  • Knowledge of maintenance procedures and protocols, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical setting.
