Position Overview

The Client Relationship Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing customer interactions and driving sales within a designated territory. This position requires regular in-person engagements with current clients, enhancing their portfolios, and initiating contact with prospective clients. A comprehensive understanding of Babcock and Wilcox's offerings is essential to provide tailored solutions to our clientele.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Performance (50%):
    • Conduct site visits to nurture and develop customer relationships.
    • Acquire in-depth knowledge of our clients' equipment and needs.
    • Demonstrate expert knowledge of our product range.
    • Engage in outreach to potential clients through cold calling.
    • Follow up with existing clients through warm calls.
  • Customer Management (35%):
    • Establish and maintain robust relationships with clients.
    • Handle customer issues and escalate to the appropriate experts for resolution.
    • Inform clients about new and improved products and services.
  • Business Development (15%):
    • Utilize data analytics and marketing strategies to create effective sales campaigns.
    • Implement a self-developed territory strategy.
    • Expand service markets including Field Service, Construction, and Service Projects.
    • Actively seek and incorporate customer feedback.
    • Maintain up-to-date records in Customer Relationship Management software.
  • Additional Duties:
    • Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • 8-10 years of experience in industrial equipment replacement and/or engineered solutions.
  • Mechanical aptitude and direct sales experience are essential.
  • Experience in the pulp and paper industry, general industrial sites, oil and gas facilities, or utility sectors is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with unionized construction services and plant turnaround planning is a plus.
  • Demonstrated qualities include being action-oriented, resilient, collaborative, and customer-focused.
  • Strong emphasis on accountability, managing ambiguity, planning, and technical proficiency.
