Software Development Engineer, Aurora CP

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Database Systems Engineer to join our team at Amazon Web Services Canada, Inc. in Vancouver. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing major database components to enable Amazon Aurora to scale and perform for growing customer demands.
Key Responsibilities- Design and Implement Database Components: You will design and implement major database components to enable Amazon Aurora to scale and perform for growing customer demands.
- Collaborate with Customers and Stakeholders: You will work with customers, stakeholders, and peers to understand and deliver the right solutions.
- Develop Software Solutions: You will design software solutions to enable new features or improve existing ones.
- Operational Work: You will perform operational work to solve customer problems and enhance your team's operations.
- Full Software Development Lifecycle: You will contribute to the full software development lifecycle, including scoping, design, code, code reviews, testing, deployment, and maintenance of the team's software.
- 3+ Years of Professional Software Development Experience: You must have 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- Design and Architecture Experience: You must have 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Programming Experience: You must have experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- Full Software Development Lifecycle Experience: You must have 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Equivalent: You must have a Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
