Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer to join our Aurora CP team. As a key member of our team, you will design and implement major database components to enable Amazon Aurora to scale and perform for growing customer demands.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Deliver Software Features: Develop and deliver software features and improvements to major portions of our team's software.
  2. Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work with customers, stakeholders, and peers to understand and deliver the right solutions.
  3. Design Software Solutions: Design software solutions to enable new features or improve existing ones.
  4. Operational Work: Perform operational work to solve customer problems and enhance our team's operations.
  5. Full Software Development Lifecycle: Contribute to the full software development lifecycle, including scoping, design, code, code reviews, testing, deployment, and maintenance of our team's software.
Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience (design patterns, reliability, and scaling)
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
Preferred Qualifications

We also prefer candidates with:

  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
What We Offer

Amazon offers a competitive salary range of $114,800/year to $191,800/year, depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. We also offer a total compensation package, including equity, sign-on payments, and other benefits, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
