Position Overview

The Clinical Pharmacy Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations and resource management of a comprehensive Pharmacy Department and its associated clinical pharmacy initiatives. Reporting directly to the Zonal Director of Pharmacy Services, this position requires collaboration with a diverse group of healthcare professionals, including pharmacy leaders and dedicated support staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the allocation and utilization of financial, material, and human resources within the Pharmacy Department.
  • Lead the planning, organization, and evaluation of departmental activities to ensure the delivery of safe and high-quality patient care.
  • Support the implementation of a new clinical information system and engage in quality improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with dispensary team leads to optimize staffing and training plans, enhancing operational efficiencies.
  • Facilitate change management processes and support clinical teams at designated facilities.
Qualifications

We invite applications from candidates who possess the following:

  • A Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of three years of relevant experience in managing pharmacy resources.
  • Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Active Direct Patient Care Pharmacist.
  • Advanced degrees or completion of a Hospital Accredited Canadian Pharmacy Residency are advantageous.
  • Proven experience in Medication Safety and Quality/Risk Management principles.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in financial management, including budgeting and expense forecasting.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead strategic initiatives and collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a capacity to adapt to changing environments.
Work Schedule

This position is a long-term assignment, offering a full-time equivalent of 100% with a bi-weekly work schedule.
