We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to join our team at Alberta Pacific Forest Industries Inc. (Al-Pac). As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading complex technical projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and oversee technical work plans, preparing and presenting updates to management channels.
- Manage strategic and highly technical projects, following the Project Delivery Model (PDM) framework and governance.
- Lead technical design discussions, act as a technical resource, and develop project budget/forecast/actuals/schedules.
- Build and coordinate project teams, lead project-related meetings, and maintain accurate project documentation.
- Track and reconcile project budget deviations, conduct post-mortem benefits analysis, and provide leadership on project management principles.
- Post-secondary engineering degree, preferably in Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical.
- Registration as a P. Eng. with APEGA.
- 5+ years of progressively related work experience in managing projects.
- Formal project management training (PRINCE 2, PMP) is considered an asset.
- Competitive annual salary, company-paid pension, and matching RRSP.
- Company-paid dental and extended health benefits, including a health care and taxable spending account.
- Compressed work schedule (Monday-Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.).
- Four weeks' annual vacation, increasing with years of service.
