Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team as a Project Support Specialist. The successful candidate will provide technical engineering support to our project teams, including leading and coordinating multi-disciplinary teams to produce high-quality technical deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide project engineering support, including leading and coordinating multi-disciplinary teams to produce technical deliverables.
- Compare uncontrolled document sources against the controlled collection to locate missing critical documents.
- Work with the Reliability and Static engineering teams to review old project documents and audit the turnover of new project documents.
- Leverage offshore drafting services to efficiently support the volume of work.
- Work with Document Control to get found documents into the controlled collection with required metadata.
- Provide training to the Reliability team on accessing required information for their daily roles.
- Conduct regular reviews and provide input for future improvements of the information portal.
Requirements
- P. Eng registered with APEGA.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Understanding of technical and vendor documentation lifecycle from design to final document deliverables.
- Understanding of the ENGWO/MOC process workflow and integration with Maximo.
- Detail-focused, investigative personality with creativity and perseverance to make connections.
- Ability to work closely with other discipline engineering focals and communicate effectively with multiple departments and stakeholders.
- Competency in Excel to audit and compare datasets, and ability to learn new software.
- Mechanical Engineer with 10-15 years' experience, preferably with experience working with owner project teams and EPC teams.
