Job Summary

Misericordia Health Centre is seeking a skilled and compassionate individual to join our team as an Intake Operator. In this role, you will provide a single point of contact for clients and service providers, recording and processing incoming requests for assistance and making referrals in accordance with established procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communicate effectively with clients and service providers to gather and provide information
  • Process incoming requests for assistance and make referrals as needed
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external agencies to resolve situations
  • Provide accurate and consistent information to clients and service providers
Requirements
  • Minimum of two years' experience in a contact centre environment with a strong emphasis on customer service
  • Previous experience in healthcare is an asset
  • Experience with email and computerized scheduling is required
Education and Certification
  • Grade 12 required
  • Business Administration Diploma or two years towards a University degree required
Skills and Qualifications
  • Accurate and effective communication in English is required
  • Typing speed of 30 wpm
  • French language skills are an asset
  • Extensive computerized system proficiency, preferably operating in a decision-support environment
