Activity Leader Opportunity

We are seeking a part-time Activity Leader to join our team at the Little Mountain YMCA Kids Club. As an Activity Leader, you will be responsible for facilitating fun and creative activities and games for children aged 5-12, while promoting a sense of belonging and inclusion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work effectively within a staff team to provide an inclusive environment for children with diverse needs.
  • Provide individual support to children within the program setting when required.
  • Help build and contribute to a community environment of global supports and inclusion for all children.
  • Help children navigate conflict and role model positive behaviors.
  • Contribute to the development, integration, and maintenance of care plans within the program.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 19 years of age.
  • Experience working with children aged 5-12.
  • Emergency First Aid and CRC – C & AED certification.
  • 20 hours of training in Child Development, Child Guidance, and/or Nutrition an asset.

What We Offer:

  • A competitive hourly rate of $21.00.
  • A permanent, part-time position with 27.5 hours per week.
  • A split shift schedule from Monday to Friday, 7:00am-8:30am and 2:00pm-6:00pm.
