Position Overview:

The Shift Supervisor role is fundamentally operational, focusing on overseeing Team Members during shifts to ensure that our standards for people, product quality, cleanliness, and exceptional Guest Experience are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities:

People Management

  • Demonstrates leadership by treating every Team Member and Guest with respect.
  • Addresses issues that arise during shifts promptly.
  • Fosters a fun and engaging work atmosphere.
  • Reports Team Member performance to the Restaurant Manager or General Manager.
  • Trains and supports new Team Members in their roles.
  • Ensures adequate Team Member coverage and assists in various roles during peak times to maintain service excellence.

Guest Experience Management

  • Prioritizes the Guest experience by responding with urgency and friendliness.
  • Assists in implementing company-wide incentive programs.

Operational Oversight

  • Maintains compliance with relevant legislation and Tim Hortons standards.
  • Manages shift cash handling procedures effectively.
  • Stays informed about new information and operational updates.
  • Supports the Manager/Owner in driving sales and transaction goals during shifts.
  • Completes all necessary shift documentation, including logs and waste records.
  • Communicates any issues or concerns to Management promptly.

Health and Safety Compliance

  • Adheres to occupational health and safety regulations.
  • Understands and follows safe work practices and procedures.
  • Utilizes personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Reports any injuries, unsafe conditions, or security incidents to the Manager/Owner.

Previous experience in Quick Service Restaurants is preferred. Strong communication skills are essential. Flexibility in scheduling is required, with availability between 4:30 AM and 10:30 PM.
