Job Title: Assistant Cook

We are seeking a skilled Assistant Cook to join our team at PEI INC. As an Assistant Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen.

Responsibilities:
  • Plan and prepare menus, estimating food requirements for successful execution.
  • Source and procure food and kitchen supplies, maintaining high standards of quality and freshness.
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes, adhering to established recipes and presentation standards.
  • Conduct regular kitchen inspections to ensure cleanliness, organization, and adherence to health and safety protocols.
  • Train and mentor junior staff members in food preparation, cooking, and handling techniques.
  • Order and manage kitchen supplies and equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and efficiency.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Coordinate and execute buffets and banquets, ensuring exceptional presentation and service.
  • Oversee kitchen operations, ensuring seamless execution of daily tasks and responsibilities.
Requirements:
  • Basic security clearance.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with attention to detail and a focus on quality.
  • Capacity to perform repetitive tasks, standing for extended periods.
  • Excellent client focus, flexibility, and organizational skills.
  • Reliability and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Will train.
