Regional Finance Manager

At First Student Shared Services, we are seeking a highly skilled Regional Finance Manager to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for providing financial support to operations for assigned geographic areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with location-level audits of accounting transactions and procedures to ensure compliance with IFRS and company policies.
  • Train and assist location personnel in the region's accounting systems and procedures.
  • Review and monitor fleet performance, including cascading, right sizing, and lost business transitions for the Region.
  • Assist with the development of contract bids and rate calculations and ensure reasonableness of financial assumptions.
  • Prepare the yearly operating plan and monthly forecast for the region.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience required.
  • Five years of experience in accounting/finance.
  • Bilingual French & English communication fluency.
  • Experience in financial modeling and accounting theory.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills with all levels of personnel.

Working Conditions:

  • Approximate 20% travel.
