Renal Care Specialist

Halton Healthcare is seeking a skilled Renal Assistant to join our team. As a Renal Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our dialysis services.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare dialysis machines and related supplies for patient treatments, ensuring a safe and efficient process.
- Clean and sanitize dialysis equipment to maintain a sterile environment.
- Obtain patients' weight and vital sign information pre and post dialysis, accurately recording data for medical records.
- Maintain stock levels of medical and surgical supplies, ensuring adequate inventory for patient care.
- Transport patients safely and efficiently, adhering to hospital protocols.
- Perform other related duties as required, contributing to the smooth operation of our dialysis services.
- Diploma with some post-secondary healthcare training required.
- Renal Assistant Certificate an asset.
- Previous dialysis experience required.
- Healthcare experience required.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to perform some heavy lifting.
- Proficiency with computer applications and knowledge of sterile/aseptic techniques.
- Able to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Technically oriented and able to adapt to changing situations.
- Strong patient-centered care skills and ability to work in a dynamic environment.
- Good communication skills and ability to manage execution and foster teamwork.
