Renal Care Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Renal Assistant to join our team at Halton Healthcare. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing dialysis machines and related supplies, cleaning and sanitizing equipment, and obtaining patients' vital sign information.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare dialysis machines and related supplies for patient treatments.
- Clean and sanitize dialysis equipment.
- Obtain patients' weight and vital sign information pre and post dialysis.
- Maintain stock levels of medical and surgical supplies.
- Transport patients.
- Perform other related duties as required.
- Diploma with some post-secondary healthcare training required.
- Renal Assistant Certificate an asset.
- Previous dialysis experience required.
- Healthcare experience required.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Proficiency with computer applications.
- Knowledge of sterile/aseptic techniques.
- Able to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Technically oriented.
- Ability to perform some heavy lifting required.
- Satisfactory employment and attendance record.
We are looking for a candidate who is strong in patient-centered care and can work in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment. The ideal candidate should be able to drive change and innovation, have good communication skills, and be able to manage execution and foster teamwork and cooperation.
Working ConditionsThe successful candidate will work Monday to Saturday, with various rotating shifts, including days and evenings. The work schedule may be subject to change based on operational needs.
