Senior Underwriter Opportunity

Equitable Life of Canada is seeking a highly skilled Senior Underwriter to join our Individual Insurance team. As a Senior Underwriter, you will play a critical role in risk assessment for life and critical illness products, ensuring the highest level of quality and accuracy in your work.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Apply strong underwriting expertise in medical, financial, and non-medical risk factors
  • Consistently provide high-quality work and manage volumes of daily work independently
  • Provide exceptional client experience and comply with legislative requirements and consumer regulations
  • Contribute to the continuous enhancement of underwriting processes and procedures
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to other underwriters
Requirements:
  • Bilingual in French and English is an asset
  • Superior technical knowledge in medical, financial, and non-medical underwriting
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong communication and relationship skills
  • 3+ years of experience as a Life and Critical Illness Underwriter
  • FLMI / FALU designation or currently working towards
