About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Janitorial Supervisor to join our team at 2236629 ALBERTA INC. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and safety of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hire and Train Staff: Recruit, train, and supervise a team of janitors, caretakers, and building superintendents to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.
  • Inspect and Maintain Facilities: Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety and cleanliness standards, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Financial Management: Prepare and manage budgets, cost estimates, and financial records to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Service Coordination: Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless delivery of cleaning services, including specialized cleaning jobs.
  • Work Scheduling: Establish and manage work schedules to ensure adequate coverage and minimize downtime.
  • Supervision: Supervise a team of 5-10 staff members, including janitors, caretakers, building superintendents, light duty cleaners, and specialized cleaners.
  • Security and Safety: Conduct criminal record checks and ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ensure that all staff members are aware of and comply with the physical demands of the job, including repetitive tasks, physically demanding work, and a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Personal Suitability: Demonstrate dependability, flexibility, initiative, and sound judgment in all aspects of the role.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a similar role.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
