The Senior Beverage Operations Manager will oversee the cocktail and wine initiatives by establishing and upholding bar standards while enhancing sales through innovative promotions and fostering relationships with suppliers and vendors. Additionally, this role is responsible for the daily operations of the restaurant bar, including staffing, cost management, employee training, budgeting, administration, and active floor management during service.
Daily Responsibilities:
Effectively manage the overall bar and beverage program, including cocktails, beers, garnishes, and non-alcoholic beverages Lead training sessions in advanced mixology techniques Establish and uphold service and operational standards for the bar, implementing best practices and efficiencies Develop and maintain cocktail menus featuring innovative products and combinations while considering cost and speed Build and maintain relationships with beverage suppliers to source new products, promotions, and competitive pricing Communicate the vision to all team members, leading by example and reinforcing company values Cultivate relationships with guests, team members, and senior management Exhibit high personal integrity and business ethics, promoting the venue at every opportunity Utilize conflict resolution and problem-solving skills Strive for maximum efficiency and continuous improvement in staff productivity Perform additional duties as assigned or requiredQualifications:
Minimum of 3 years' experience in mixology and cocktail program development is essential WSET Intermediate Wine Certificate or equivalent is an asset Experience in both fine dining and casual restaurant bar environments is preferred Extensive knowledge of beverages, including traditional cocktails and current trends Exceptional verbal and written communication skills Ability to demonstrate strong organizational skills in a fast-paced environment while being a team player Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Strong business acumen and inventory management skillsAdditional Information
