Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Veterinary Technician to join our Emergency Department team at VCA Canada. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support to our veterinarians and other staff members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist veterinarians with medical procedures and exams
  • Perform various clinical procedures, including venipuncture, catheter placement, radiology, and in-house lab work
  • Monitor anesthesia and patient vital signs
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
  • Provide excellent customer service and communication with pet owners
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge

Requirements:

  • Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) certification or eligibility to register
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities
