Emergency Veterinary Technician, RVT

VCA Animal Hospitals is seeking dedicated and passionate Registered Veterinary Technicians (RVTs) to join our esteemed team in the Emergency Department. This casual role offers a unique opportunity to utilize your technical expertise while being equipped with the necessary tools and resources to excel in a dynamic environment. Our Emergency RVTs are encouraged to explore various cases, enhancing their skills and knowledge.

Key Responsibilities
  • Must be a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) or eligible for registration.
  • Collaborate effectively as a team player while also demonstrating the ability to work independently.
  • Exhibit outstanding customer service skills, ensuring a comforting atmosphere for both pets and their owners.
  • Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal abilities when interacting with colleagues and pet owners.
  • Perform a variety of clinical tasks, including but not limited to: venipuncture, catheter placement, radiology, in-house laboratory work, anesthesia monitoring, and patient evaluation.
  • Show a willingness to enhance technical skills and professional knowledge.
  • Maintain strong organizational skills and ensure accurate medical record-keeping.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment while providing high-quality care.
  • Effectively prioritize tasks, solve problems, and remain composed in stressful situations.
  • Adapt to changing circumstances with ease.
