Registered Veterinary Technician, RVT

VCA Animal Hospitals is seeking dedicated and skilled Registered Veterinary Technicians (RVTs) to enhance our Emergency Department. This casual role allows you to utilize your technical expertise while being part of a supportive and professional environment. Our Emergency RVTs are equipped with the necessary tools and resources to excel in their roles and pursue their passions within our facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Must be a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) or eligible for registration.
  • Demonstrate confidence as a team player while also being capable of independent work.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a comforting atmosphere for pets and their owners.
  • Exhibit strong interpersonal skills in interactions with colleagues and clients.
  • Perform a variety of clinical tasks, including but not limited to: venipuncture, catheter placement, radiology, in-house laboratory work, anesthesia monitoring, and patient evaluation.
  • Commit to ongoing professional development and skill enhancement.
  • Maintain strong organizational skills and accurate medical record-keeping.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment while delivering high-quality care.
  • Prioritize tasks effectively, solve problems, and remain composed under pressure.
  • Adapt to changing circumstances and situations as needed.

Work Schedule: This casual position will require availability for weekend shifts, evenings, and overnight hours.
