VCA Canada is seeking passionate and dedicated Registered Veterinary Technicians (RVTs) to join our esteemed team in the Emergency Services department. Our facility provides an environment where RVTs can fully utilize their technical expertise while being equipped with the necessary resources to excel in their roles. You will have the chance to broaden your knowledge through hands-on experience with a variety of cases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Must be a Registered Veterinary Technician or eligible for registration.
- Work collaboratively as part of a team while also being capable of independent work when necessary.
- Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring a comforting atmosphere for both pets and their owners.
- Exhibit outstanding interpersonal skills when interacting with colleagues and pet owners.
- Perform a range of clinical tasks, including but not limited to: venipuncture, catheter placement, radiology, in-house laboratory work, anesthesia monitoring, and patient evaluation.
- Demonstrate a willingness to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
- Maintain strong organizational abilities and accurate medical record-keeping.
- Provide high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.
- Prioritize tasks effectively, solve problems, and remain composed under pressure.
- Adapt to dynamic situations as they arise.

Work Schedule: This casual role will require availability for weekend shifts, evenings, and overnight duties.
