Job Summary

The successful candidate will have recent and relevant clinical experience, preferably in a fee-for-service physiotherapy setting. They will be able to communicate effectively with clients, other staff, and professionals, and demonstrate a strong customer service philosophy. The Physiotherapist will also be responsible for representing the vision and philosophy of the Wellness Institute, demonstrating a positive attitude, and a commitment to improving professional competency and the quality of services provided.

Responsibilities
  • Provide quality therapy services to patients, utilizing evidence-based practices and best practices guidelines.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, other staff, and professionals.
  • Represent the vision and philosophy of the Wellness Institute.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans that meet the needs of patients.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
Requirements
  • Entry-to-practice academic credential in physiotherapy from an accredited Canadian university program or the approved equivalent if internationally educated.
  • Registration on the Active Practice Register of the College of Physiotherapists of Manitoba.
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training requirements for this position shall be in accordance with the Employer policy.
  • Member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association, Orthopaedic Division (preferred).
Working Conditions

The Physiotherapist will work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing therapy services to patients in a variety of settings. The successful candidate will be required to stand or walk for extended periods of time without resting, and demonstrate the use of safe and effective body mechanics while working with clients. They will also be required to safely transfer large and/or heavy clients who may have limited or no weight-bearing capabilities.
