Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Physiotherapist to join our team at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. As a Physiotherapist, you will be responsible for providing quality physiotherapy services to clients, including consultation, client assessment, physiotherapy diagnosis, planning, intervention implementation and evaluation, program planning and implementation, discharge planning and follow-up.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide physiotherapy services to clients, including consultation, client assessment, physiotherapy diagnosis, planning, intervention implementation and evaluation, program planning and implementation, discharge planning and follow-up.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each client.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and optimal outcomes for clients.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of clients to identify areas of need and develop effective treatment plans.
  • Provide education and guidance to clients and their families on proper techniques and strategies for managing their condition.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in physiotherapy to ensure the highest quality care for clients.
Requirements
  • Entry-to-practice academic credential in physiotherapy from an accredited Canadian university program or the approved equivalent if internationally educated.
  • Registration on the Active Practice Register of the College of Physiotherapists of Manitoba.
  • Membership with the Canadian Physiotherapy Association preferred.
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Training requirements for this position shall be in accordance with the WRHA policy.
Working Conditions

This position requires a high level of physical fitness and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be required to work in a variety of settings, including clinics, hospitals, and community centers. The candidate must be able to lift, carry, and move equipment and supplies as needed. The candidate must also be able to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
