Job Title: Physiotherapist

The Physiotherapist is a key member of our healthcare team, responsible for providing high-quality physiotherapy services to our patients. As a Physiotherapist, you will work closely with our rehabilitation services personnel to develop and implement effective treatment plans that promote optimal patient outcomes.

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Physiotherapist to join our team at Actionmarguerite. As a Physiotherapist, you will be responsible for providing physiotherapy assessments, treatments, and programs to patients in our care. You will work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to ensure that patients receive comprehensive and coordinated care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide physiotherapy assessments, treatments, and programs to patients in our care.
  • Work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to ensure that patients receive comprehensive and coordinated care.
  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans that promote optimal patient outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure that patient needs are met.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and services.
Requirements
  • Current active registration and licensure with the College of Physiotherapist of Manitoba.
  • Membership in the Canadian Physiotherapy Association recommended.
  • Experience in extended care rehabilitation.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Ability to communicate in both official languages (French and English) is required.
  • Ability to work closely with rehabilitation services personnel and other personnel.
  • Meets physical and mental health requirements of the position.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize workload.
  • Ability to recognize and pursue self-development opportunities.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to respond to a variety of simultaneous demands.
  • Ability to operate information technology equipment as required.
  • Ability to work as a team member.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain a satisfactory employment record, including attendance.
  • Current Criminal Record Check for the Vulnerable Sector and Adult Abuse Registry Check deemed satisfactory by the Employer.
Knowledge
  • Workplace Health and Safety and safe work practices.
  • W.H.M.I.S. program.

This position is designated bilingual (French/English). All staff are hired for the facility. Employees may hold more than one position in different Actionmarguerite facilities, where the sum total of hours does not exceed 1.0 full-time equivalence.
