About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Early Childhood Educator Assistant to join our team at Best Friends Children's Centre Inc. As an integral part of our childcare team, you will play a vital role in supporting the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of our young children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Bathing, Diapering, and Feeding Infants and Toddlers
  • Assisting Early Childhood Educators in implementing programs that promote children's development
  • Leading activities such as storytelling, singing, and outings to local points of interest
  • Encouraging creativity through art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity
  • Engaging children in activities and preparing snacks
  • Guiding children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits
  • Preparing rooms and furniture for lunch and rest periods
  • Submitting written observations on children to Early Childhood Educators or Supervisors
  • Attending staff meetings to discuss children's progress and challenges
Requirements
  • Child Development Assistant (ECE Level 1) certification
  • Availability to work 30 hours per week
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, walking, and bending
