About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Early Childhood Educator Assistant to join our team at Best Friends Children's Centre Inc. As an integral part of our childcare team, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and nurturing environment for young children to grow and develop.

Key Responsibilities
  • Childcare and Education: Assist early childhood educators in planning and implementing programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Childcare Tasks: Bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers, and engage children in activities such as storytelling, singing, and crafts.
  • Support and Guidance: Guide and assist children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits, and provide support to early childhood educators as needed.
  • Administrative Tasks: Prepare snacks, arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods, and submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a childcare setting.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Setting: Child care centre, day care centre, or nursery school.
