Your Role

The Human Resources Strategic Partner serves as a vital resource for designated units, offering on-site guidance and support in managing human resources effectively. This encompasses organizational structure, staffing, performance management, employee relations, mediation, and compliance with equal employment opportunity standards. You will assist employees with inquiries and concerns, ensuring equitable treatment and identifying needs for special projects that enhance HR services.

Key Responsibilities

Employee Relations and Advisory Services:

  • Provide leadership and strategic direction to support growth across assigned organizational units.
  • Offer management and employees clear interpretations of HR policies and procedures.
  • Advise on resolving work-related issues to maintain positive employer-employee relationships.
  • Conduct investigations and mediate employee complaints, ensuring fair resolutions.
  • Facilitate the resolution of disciplinary issues in collaboration with management.
  • Research and analyze HR management challenges to propose effective solutions.
  • Coordinate recruitment efforts, including staffing needs assessments and coaching on hiring practices.

Organizational Development:

  • Engage with personnel at all levels to enhance communication and address morale and productivity challenges.
  • Develop and deliver training on human relations skills, including conflict resolution and effective communication.
  • Act as an internal consultant to management, promoting effective management practices.
  • Evaluate business initiatives to identify necessary organizational interventions.
  • Collaborate with management to implement change strategies and foster employee acceptance.
  • Facilitate team-building activities to improve team effectiveness and productivity.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management, Business, or a related field; relevant experience may substitute for formal education.
  • A minimum of 4 years as a Human Resource Generalist or equivalent corporate experience.
  • At least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in HR roles.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • In-depth knowledge of HR management principles, including employment, employee relations, and organizational development.
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local HR laws and regulations.
  • Proficient in analyzing HR issues and developing effective solutions.
  • Skilled in project management and prioritizing tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, including the ability to prepare and present complex information.
  • Adept at problem-solving and navigating situations with limited guidelines.
  • Capable of interpreting policies, procedures, and regulations to enhance management effectiveness.
  • Competent in presenting information and addressing inquiries from various stakeholders.

Salary Range $81,752 - $108,511
