Security Officer

**Job Summary**

Seaspan is seeking a skilled Security Officer to join its Shipyards security team in North Vancouver. As a Security Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our personnel, visitors, and assets.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Control access to the Vancouver Shipyards site, ensuring that visitors are properly signed in and out of the premises.
* Conduct regular security patrols to identify and address any security issues in a timely manner.
* Provide access to secure areas, such as stores and tool cribs, to authorized personnel.
* Respond to emergencies and provide first aid services as needed.
* Serve as the primary point of contact for security-related matters after hours.

**Requirements**

* Completion of Intermediate First Aid certification.
* Valid security worker's license.
* Valid driver's license.
* 4+ years of experience in the security industry, preferably in a shipyard or marine environment.
* Successful completion of a Criminal Record check.
* Ability to obtain NATO clearance.
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
