Technical Service Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Service Specialist to join our team at Velan. As a key member of our after-market support team, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance to customers and end-users, resolving complex technical challenges, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver engineered solutions.
Main Responsibilities- Provide technical support to customers and end-users, resolving technical challenges and minimizing the impact on operations
- Collaborate with various teams to provide engineered solutions, including virtual support to technicians during on-site work
- Manage and create technical files in our after-market database software
- Engage with subcontractors for technical files and support
- Engineering-related education an asset
- Experience in technical support and/or customer service
- Experience in the valve industry is an asset
- Efficiency in MS Office Suite
- Good computer skills
- Bilingual (English and French)
- ERP experience an asset
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent organizational and scheduling skills
- Ability to work and learn new concepts autonomously or in a team
- Ability to respond well to changing priorities and deadlines
- Ability to manage without formal authority
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings
- Good mechanical/spatial visualization
