Position Overview

Under the guidance of the Cage management and supervisory personnel, this role is accountable for the execution and finalization of all Cage transactions while ensuring the safeguarding and management of assets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the redemption of gaming vouchers in a courteous and professional manner, adhering to cash handling protocols, internal controls, and company policies, while reporting any discrepancies and escalating issues as necessary.
  • Process payments for Jackpot winnings.
  • Balance the Cash Float at the start and conclusion of shifts, maintaining an organized workspace.
  • Manage the security of Cash Desk keys, ensuring their return to the Cage Supervisor post-shift.
  • Conduct Foreign Currency exchanges, buy backs, and Travellers' Cheques in accordance with company policy.
  • Execute currency exchanges and transactions, monitor player financial activities, and complete necessary reports to comply with relevant regulations.
  • Ensure the safety and security of both employees and guests while delivering prompt and courteous service to enhance the gaming experience.
  • Accurately process and record all transactions in the designated electronic systems.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of all Cash Cage policies and procedures.
  • Foster a professional, constructive, and supportive environment for all Casino staff, emphasizing open communication and teamwork.
  • Uphold confidentiality regarding Casino and guest information during and after work hours.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of two years of cash handling experience in a customer service role.
  • Proficient in operating adding machines, currency counters, and related equipment.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Professional demeanor and appearance, with strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative spirit.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and organizational abilities.
  • Dependable and trustworthy, demonstrating a commitment to service excellence.
  • Flexibility in scheduling to meet business needs, including non-traditional hours, holidays, evenings, overnight, or weekend shifts.
  • Bilingualism (French/English) is an asset.
  • Must be at least 19 years of age.
  • Ability to successfully obtain and maintain a Gaming Registration in the applicable province.
