Count Team Associate

Job Summary
As a Count Team Associate with Great Canadian Entertainment, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of cash handling operations in our count room. Under the direction of the Cage & Count Manager, you will be responsible for counting cash assets, managing transactions between vault and colleague cash desks, and maintaining/balancing a float. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Count and verify cash assets to ensure accuracy and integrity
- Manage transactions between vault and colleague cash desks, including cash administration and cash counts
- Reconcile and balance cash floats to ensure accuracy and minimize discrepancies
- Report any suspect cash or cash equivalents to management
- Communicate effectively with all operational departments to ensure seamless cash handling operations
- Build strong working relationships with internal and external guests to provide exceptional customer service
- Comply with all licensing laws, health and safety regulations, and other statutory requirements
- Perform other duties as assigned or directed by management
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education an asset
- Minimum 1 year of experience in high volume cash handling and counting preferred
- Ability to push or pull a cart of up to lbs
- Must have the ability to operate adding machines, currency counters, and other related equipment
- Ability to work well in a team environment with strong communication skills
- Ready and willing to work a flexible schedule consisting primarily of early morning shifts
- Ability to successfully obtain and maintain a Gaming Registration within applicable province (New Brunswick)
Work Environment Considerations
- Back-office environment, standing or sitting for long periods of time, non-traditional work hours including early morning, weekend, and holiday shifts
