About the Role

Mayers Care is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, promoting a sense of well-being and comfort.
  • Assist with medical procedures, such as taking vital signs, administering medications, and preparing patients for surgery.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment, adhering to infection control protocols and ensuring the proper use of medical equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge, staying up-to-date on best practices and industry developments.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Permanent employment with a minimum of 35 to 40 hours per week.
  • Fluency in English.
